Hanley Seniors Annual Meeting April 25/ 2012
The Hanley Seniors had a very busy year. The exercise program cards & games on Wed. and Fri. were well attended .Pool games had a few more out this year . We added a Tues. afternoon work project where 8”knitted squares were sown into 26 lap robes and sent to 3 different nursing homes. 30 quilts were tied for the Mennonite relief program. Currently we are working on afghans. One will be donated to the community for a silent auction,two more are nearly finished.
This year improvements were made to the centre, some of the plumbing was replaced. Both bathrooms had new sinks and toilets installed. New taps in kitchen and bathrooms,also a new larger fridge in the kitchen. Twelve new tables and thirty five armchairs in the activity room.
Currently there are forty five members. President Fern Beaumont, Vice President Velma Grindheim, Treasure Darlene Walker, Secretary Jean Reeves.
The seniors are now in charge of selling all of the Hanley history books. the first Ripples and Reflections are $35.00 the newer one is $50.oo.

If you are new to Hanley, 55 years or older we would love to meet you. This is a good day to come in and get your 2012 – 2013 membership card, preview some of the activities, have a cup of coffee or just enjoy a visit.Our senior facility is equipped with a variety of items for all members to enjoy. Weekly activities include:
Shuffleboard, Cards, Pool, WII Games
Exercise program(Wed.& Fri. 9.30 am open to all ages)
PIE AND ICECREAM LUNCH

General Meeting – Jan. 27 & Upcoming Events
- Upcoming activities planed for Feb. 15th @ 2 pm the card game will be Hearts .
- On Thurs. 23rd @ 2pm. we will hold the second whist tournament.
- Sunday 26th @ 2.30 we will show a film on a cruise through the Panama Canal. Silver collection for the film.
Tuesdays the men play pool at 9.30 am and at 2pm. the ladies gather for an afternoon of crafts. You can bring one you’re working on or help with one here, or you can play games, or just come and have a social time.
In the last year we bought 30 new arm chairs, replaced our fridge and donated the old one to the golf course. Also the plumbing was upgraded with new sinks and toilets.
